PICmicro (formally PICtutor) by John Becker |

|
SOFTWARE: The Assembly for PICmicro V2 CD-ROM contains a PIC simulator, which will teach you how to use PIC microcontrollers, with special emphasis on the PICx84 devices. The associated PICmicro MCU development board (available separately) can be used in conjunction with the simulator, and will also act as a test bed and programmer for future projects as your programming skills increase. The interactive presentation shown here uses the specially developed Virtual PIC simulator to show exactly what is happening as you run, or step through, a program. In this way, the CD brings the EPE PIC Tutorial series to life and provides the easiest and best-ever introduction to this subject. Nearly 40 tutorials cover almost every aspect of PIC programming in an easy-to-follow sequence. |
HARDWARE: Whilst the CD-ROM (discussed above) can be purchased and used on its own, the physical demonstration provided by the Version 2 PICmicro MCU Development Board, plus the ability to program and test your own PICmicro microcontrollers as well as program a range of 8, 18, 28, and 40-pin devices, really reinforces the lessons learned. The hardware will also be an invaluable development and programming tool for future work once you have mastered PIC software writing.
