The PhizzyB is a small, single board computer, intended to teach how computers work (the November 1998 issue of EPE Online describes how to build your very own PhizzyB).

The PhizzyB Simulator provides an accurate representation of the real PhizzyB, including the ability to step/run through programs.

The PhizzyB Simulator teaches you how computers work
The simulator interface is shown to the left

Note that you do NOT require a real PhizzyB to use this simulator (although having a real PhizzyB is certainly a lot of fun).

The large circuit board at the bottom of the simulator interface corresponds to the PhizzyB itself. The other large board (at the top of the screen) represents an expansion board, whilst the smaller boards to the left and right represent generic input and output devices. The simulator comes equipped with a smorgasbord of tools and utilities, including:

o) An assembler to create programs
o) The memory walker display (allowing you to examine the contents of the
simulator's memory locations), set breakpoints, and much more.
o) The CPU register display (allowing you to inspect the contents of the
    simulator's CPU registers)
o) A messaging system allowing you to examine the micro-actions that
take place to execute each instruction.

In addition to the simulator, this CD ROM also contains two user manuals (in Adobe Acrobat PDF format) describing how to use the simulator.
