Perpetual Projects Part 2 - LED Flasher and Double-Doorbuzzer
Approx construction cost US$8 (LED Flasher) $6.50 (Doorbuzzer)

Perpetual projects part 2 -- EPE Online August 2001

Perpetual LED Flasher: This simple solar-powered flasher could be used as a thief deterrent almost any-where – maybe on a dummy bell box or in an outbuilding etc. Or use it to mark a switch or keyhole so you can find it at night.

Double Door Buzzer: This simple project is ideally suited to a smaller space (e.g. one or two rooms), since its volume is quite modest. For instance, it would be ideal for an allotment "hut" where there may be no electricity supply, and where it would remain perpetually on standby to alert you to the presence of visitors. A double door-buzzer will conveniently distinguish between a front door, a back door, or perhaps a gate by sounding a higher or lower tone, depending on which touch-switch button is pressed. It may also be used to alert different occupants of the same house as to who is required.
