Video Reading Aid
Displays enlarged text on a TV or video monitor Do you have a family member with vision problems – like cataracts, or age-related macular degeneration? Here’s a lowcost video reading aid that will make it much easier for them to read a book or newspaper. It combines a small CMOS TV camera with a video processor which boosts the contrast and allows them to select either a positive or negative enlarged image for viewing on a TV set or video monitor.
This project originally appeared in the July 2007 issue of EPE Online.
