Link your Meade telescope with your handheld GPS receiver

Some months ago EPE reader Jason Kotecki of Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA emailed the author asking: “How easy would it be to have your GPS To PIC and PC Interface of Jan ’04 send out GPS serial data to a Meade telescope LX200 I have, to set the latitude, longitude and time values that it needs? At present these have to be set manually each time the telescope is switched on.”
